Obtaining a judgment is only the first step in getting the biggest slice of the collections pie for your client. You must also be able to help your client enforce the judgment.

Learn the very latest tools, techniques, and strategies being used to enforce judgments by participating in the all-new audio conference from Tennessee Attorneys Memo, Judgment Enforcement: Techniques, Common Roadblocks, and Advanced Strategies.

In just 90 minutes we'll cover the necessary steps when enforcing judgments in Tennessee, including:

  • Determining Assets (bank accounts, real property, or personal property of the judgment debtor)
  • Obtaining Assets (possible repayment agreements and state laws for enforcement of judgments, including wage garnishment, executions, and bank levies)

Your speaker, an in-demand speaker and author on post-judgment collections strategies, will take you step-by-step through:

The Initial Post-Judgment Period

  • Review of the applicable post-judgment appeal periods and stays on execution
  • Methods to identify and locate the debtor’s assets
  • Advanced strategies to prepare for collections: Judgment liens and investigation of fraudulent conveyances

Tools for Judgment Enforcement

  • Voluntary repayment agreements
  • Involuntary payment tools, including wage garnishments, executions, and bank levies
  • Advanced strategies in collection: Effective asset discovery techniques under Tenn. R. Civ. P. 69

Common Roadblocks in Judgment Enforcement

  • How to handle debtors with no assets
  • Domesticating judgments against out-of-state debtors
  • Bankruptcy and methods to collect debt in bankruptcy, including proofs of claim and reorganization process
